Chester, VA 23831

Imagine ending every day surrounded by blooming gardens, mature trees, and the peaceful feeling that you've escaped the noise of the world — without ever leaving Chester.
Nestled in Lakewood Farms, this beautifully maintained home offers the perfect blend of privacy, community, and natural beauty. Set along quiet streets, it's the kind of neighborhood where evening walks, bike rides, and friendly neighbors are part of everyday life.
Lovingly owned and cared for by the same family for nearly 50 years, it's easy to understand why they chose to stay. What truly sets this property apart is the landscape. Admired by neighbors and considered for local garden tours, the grounds have been cultivated into a private garden oasis with blooms throughout much of the year — including hundreds of hellebores during the winter months.
Inside, thoughtful design fills the home with natural light and beautiful views of greenery from nearly every room. The kitchen opens to the family room, while the screened porch provides the perfect place to relax and take in the gardens. A formal living room, dining room, and butler area complete the main level. Upstairs, the primary ensuite features a walk-in closet, three additional generous bedrooms, and a hall bathroom with dual vanities.
Recent updates include a newer heat pump (2023), furnace (2020), stove and oven (2023), dishwasher (2023), fresh interior paint and new carpeting (2026), painted shutters, and an insulated garage door with opener. Additional features include abundant storage, a wired 12,000-watt backup generator, and a convenient garage-to-kitchen ramp.
Minutes from Pocahontas State Park, local dining, and everyday conveniences. This is more than a home — it's a sanctuary someone poured half a century of love into. Now it's ready for its next chapter.
